abstract: Regulatory approval of biosimilars will facilitate patient access, reduce costs, and hence make healthcare dollar available for development of the next generation of innovative therapeutic. Although in recent years, the FDA has been actively laying out its regulatory pathway for biosimilars approval, there are considerable challenges and obstacles for the biosimilar industry to gain an approval under current regulatory standard in the US.
